I recently had the opportunity to catch-up with friend and fellow photographer Erica, owner of Closer North Photography. I’m primarily a western Maine photographer. As you might of guessed she’s a little further north, closer to Bangor. I had the privilege of living in the surrounding areas of Bangor for 6 years prior to moving to the lakes region of Maine. I’m currently contracting all of my weddings through CNP.
I had an amazing time scouting locations and showing Erica around the local area. We started with a stroll on some local walking trails and lattes at Beth’s. We then ended the day driving a few roads less traveled, chasing the sunset and at the Campfire Grill in Bridgton with a couple of delicious Bloody Mary’s!
In between we walked around an abandoned greenhouse (with permission). There had been several of these structures in the spring, but the local boat storage facility bought it and started demolishing them. I was sad because the photographer in me loved them. I had visions of a styled wedding shoot on location. However, I’m glad the local economy may get a boost from their soon-to-be boat showroom on the same property.
It was great to have another photographer to explore with for the day! Are you looking for a western Maine photographer?
